Gamespy (http://www.gamespy.com): The portal to everything good and wholesome in the gaming world. This website is the center point of the whole set of "planet" sites, like planetquake and such. However, because it is so huge I will also provide links to some of my favorite planet sites.
Planet Quake (http://www.planetquake.com): The best site for everything Quake.
Planet Unreal (http://www.planetunreal.com): The best site for everything Unreal.
Planet Half-Life (http://www.planethalflife.com/): The best site for everything Half-Life.
Planet Rainbow Six (http://www.planetrainbowsix.com/): The best site for... well, you get the idea.
Strategy Planet (http://www.strategyplanet.com): This site covers a lot: Starcraft, Homeworld, etc.

Joe Cartoon (http://www.joecartoon.com/): Lots of interactive stuff here. It's funny but sick at times, so be warned. This is the home of the famous "Frog in a Blender".
Something Awful (http://www.somethingawful.com/): Created by a former editor of PlanetQuake, this uncensored site analyzes plenty of awful things, such as low-budget movies and magazines for morons. The results are hilarious.

Aganazzar's Place (http://www.aganazzar.com/): This place has a huge collection of game music tracks in various formats, including MP3.
Goldwave (http://www.goldwave.com/): Here you can read about and download Goldwave, an awesome shareware sound editor.
MP3.com (http://www.mp3.com/): An amazingly complete collection of almost every legal MP3 on the net. To some of you "legal" might mean "I've never heard of it and don't want to listen to it", but I've unearthed a few gems off this site.
The Best Game Music in the World... EVER! (http://gamemusic.siliconcircus.co.uk/): Yes, that's the title of the site, not my personal opinion, although it is definately one of the best right now. They have mostly midi, but there's about 30 MP3's mixed in there. Some of these tracks I've never seen anywhere else. Definately worth a look.
WinAmp (http://www.winamp.com): The most popular free MP3 player on the net now supports other file formats, such as MIDI and WAV. I definately recommend this program if you want to listen to MP3s.

Crystal Space (http://crystal.linuxgames.com/): Crystal Space is a really cool 3D Progamming API that is under development. It's easily portable and written in C++.
Game Development Search Engine (http://developer.dungeon-crawl.com): An excellent search engine for sites geared towards game developers. Lots of listings for art, programming, music, etc.
Programmer's Heaven (http://www.programmersheaven.com): A site with thousands of files and links related to programming, Organized in categories.
Programmer's Virtual Library (http://www.strangecreations.com/library/): Contains mostly text documents, such as articles on programming theories.
Win32 Programming Realm (http://wpr.hypermart.net): This site is mainly about advanced Visual Basic programming. It has recently expanded to include C/C++ programming on Win32 platforms
Developer.com (http://www.developer.com/): This site mixes programming and web development. They host a number of other quality sites and have a huge amount of downloadable samples.

Tripod (http://www.tripod.com): The best site on the net for free webspace. You get plenty of space and lots of extra features.
AceFTP (http://www.visic.com/aceftp/): The place to get a reliable FTP program for downloading and uploading.
CuteFTP (http://www.cuteftp.com): Another popular FTP program.
Developer.com (http://www.developer.com/): This site mixes programming and web development. They host a number of other quality sites and have a huge amount of downloadable samples.
HTML Goodies (http://www.htmlgoodies.com/): A good place to start for HTML resources, tips, and tutorials.
Java Goodies (http://www.javagoodies.com/): This site is all about Javascript (not Java Applets). You can read tutorials on writing your own Javascript, or just borrow some scripts with full instructions on how to use them.
Zig Studios (http://www.planetzig.com/): A very cool site by a friend of Cory's. This is an award winning graphic design studio. Their services include web design, interactive multimedia, graphic design, advertising, and marketing.
